Hey all,
It's my birthday today and I'm feeling good. ππ
I've got a few things in the works right now and am trying to hone my skills as a creator. It's been a great year so far and hopefully will stay pretty good in the months to come. I've been working on a video for Halloween that's going to go up on my YouTube soon, so keep an eye out. I appreciate all of my friends on here and all the other people I've collaborated with over the last few years. There's plenty more to come, I hope.
Hellion is currently on hiatus, if you haven't heard. Me and Alex still have the money from the Gofundme campaign and plan to put it towards some simple storyboards to try and show you what the next episode would look like. I'll keep you all updated if there's any news. I talk about it further on A100 with Aalasteir!
Hopefully we'll have something to show you all soon, and we'll go from there.
I also helped Aalasteir with a song (recording some fun foley for percussion).
Go check out Alex's "Clover House" post, it's dope.
In other news, I've been re-learning guitar after a decade-long hiatus and have been trying to put something together with what I've learned. Keep an eye out for it next year at some point. I still feel like a beginner, but if anyone wants to collab I'd always be down to help out! Collaboration is a great way to find out what skills need to be improved, plus it gives me a chance to flex my creative muscles.
Content Contempt seems to be at an end, which should have been obvious by now, but I've been trying to record more episodes here and there. There were four episodes recorded but I felt the quality was not up to my standards, so I ended up scrapping them. I'll give it another go soon enough but for now, assume it's dead and buried until it's zombified corpse comes shuffling back to your Timeline.
The Garf Girl Trilogy EP has officially ended with the late-addition Mumble Raps. I explain it in the description of the song, but to summarize, I spent a few months trying to get something recorded to end the Garf Girl Trilogy but slowly began to hate how I sounded. There were a few different recordings that I tried out, and Mumble Raps was one of them. I had tried to re-record it, but couldn't get my voice to sound as raspy as this first recording, so I shelved it. It sat for a few years before I decided to release it, to at least give some sort of closure to the album. Currently the That Was A Mistake [EP] has 4 songs and will go permanently unfinished barring divine intervention. It was a fun project and I had a lot of fun dipping my toes into rapping. I appreciate the support from the people who let me use their songs, and Anjovi who helped out with the mixing on some tracks. Thanks, also, to the people who featured besides that, Anjovi, PichΓ©, and maxxjamez. I appreciated the support, and it helped me get a lot further than I would have gotten otherwise. Same goes for the people who let me use their music, Liam, Gminor, TheHoodedFiend, Cysteke, BlackLynk, Ookiyo, thiccburger, and GeminiGemini.
Thanks to Casper, RUNNER-BOY and Feynmar as well, for letting me use their tracks for songs not in the trilogy EP, and Dry for letting us be a part of the Summer Collab Album (2022), which was a ton of fun. As well, shoutouts to the people who said it was okay to let me use their music, even if I didn't end up recording anything for it. They're dope, too!
I was actually waiting to finish the third EP before making a thank-you post, so sorry if it's a little late now, lol.
Music is a big part of my life, so I was happy to try out something new, and I'm glad people got to see what I made and offer their feedback.
It all started with a silly song I did for fun! Thanks to NGPR (The Shal Era with Chris & Aaron) for playing this on their Sunday show when the song came out.
